DLH Equine offers daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly farm calls throughout Central Oregon. Whether your horse needs targeted recovery work, ongoing conditioning support, or a structured program to return to full performance, each session is tailored to the horse in front of me.

Stall availability and full recovery programs are offered at discounted therapy rates for horses needing more intensive or consistent care.

These programs blend Class IV laser, PEMF, thermography, EquiVibe, and hands‑on recovery work with nutrition‑based support to ensure long‑term results.

CLASs 4 laser therapy

Class 4 Laser Therapy can accelerate healing and improve the repair, regeneration and remodeling of tissue in the horse.

Class IV Laser Therapy uses concentrated light to support the body’s natural healing processes. The light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the cells, where it’s converted into usable energy, similar to how plants use sunlight to grow. This increase in cellular activity can help normalize damaged tissue, reduce inflammation, and speed up overall healing.

Laser therapy is used for both acute injuries and long‑term maintenance, and it’s one of the most effective tools for improving comfort, mobility, and recovery in performance horses.

How It Helps

  • Reduces pain and inflammation

  • Supports wound healing

  • Improves circulation and vascular activity

  • Aids tendon and ligament repair

  • Helps with muscle tears and soft‑tissue strain

  • Supports nerve function and neurologic injuries

  • Reduces scar tissue formation

  • Stimulates acupuncture points

  • Encourages healthy cell growth and tissue remodeling

Laser therapy is a cornerstone modality in many of my recovery and conditioning programs, especially when paired with PEMF, nutrition support, and hands‑on work.

PULSED ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FIELD (PEMF) certified practitioner

As a certified PEMF practitioner, I use pulsed electromagnetic fields to support cellular function, improve circulation, and help the body recover more efficiently. PEMF works by influencing the electrical activity of the cell membrane, essentially helping cells communicate, absorb nutrients, and release waste more effectively.

When cells are stressed, inflamed, or injured, their electrical balance becomes disrupted. PEMF helps restore that balance by gently stimulating the cell membrane, improving its ability to move oxygen, nutrients, and ions in and out. This boost in cellular activity supports healing, reduces soreness, and improves overall comfort and performance.

How PEMF Helps

  • Boosts cellular metabolism

  • Improves circulation and hydration

  • Supports detoxification and nutrient uptake

  • Reduces pain, stiffness, and inflammation

  • Helps identify and relieve areas of soreness

  • Speeds healing and shortens recovery time

  • Increases range of motion and flexibility

  • Improves overall comfort and performance

Increases

Circulation, cell hydration, flexibility, immune function, bone density, lean muscle mass, range of motion, stamina, strength, endurance, neuromuscular response, cellular metabolism, and nutrient utilization.

Decreases

Pain, stiffness, inflammation, edema (swelling), spasms, stress, bruising, contusions, toxins, cellular waste, and lactic acid buildup.

PEMF is one of the most versatile tools in my recovery programs. It pairs especially well with Class IV laser, nutrition support, and hands‑on work to create a whole‑horse approach to healing and performance.

Thermography

Thermal imaging (thermography) is a non‑invasive way to measure temperature differences on the surface of the horse, dog, human, saddle, or any object being evaluated. These temperature patterns can reveal areas of heat, inflammation, cold spots, and reduced blood flow within the muscular, vascular, skeletal, and nervous systems.

A thermography camera is extremely sensitive, detecting temperature changes as small as 0.05°C, far beyond what the human hand can feel. This allows us to identify subtle changes in the body before they become visible or palpable.

How It Works

Everything emits heat in the form of infrared (IR) light waves. While we can’t see IR light with the naked eye, a thermal camera can. It captures these heat patterns and converts them into electrical signals, which are displayed as a color‑coded image called a thermogram.

These images help pinpoint:

  • inflammation

  • circulatory changes

  • nerve irritation

  • muscular strain

  • saddle pressure points

  • compensatory patterns

  • areas of reduced blood flow

Thermography is a powerful assessment tool that guides my recovery and conditioning programs. It helps identify where the body is struggling so we can target therapy more effectively, whether that’s laser, PEMF, hands‑on work, nutrition adjustments, or saddle fit changes.

EquiVibe Whole‑Body Vibration Therapy

EquiVibe is a whole‑body vibration platform designed to improve circulation, support muscle function, and help the body recover more efficiently. The vertical vibration encourages the horse’s muscles to contract and relax rapidly, which increases blood flow, activates the lymphatic system, and supports overall mobility.

It’s a low‑impact therapy that benefits horses in work, horses in recovery, and horses needing help with stiffness, soreness, or conditioning.

How EquiVibe Helps

  • Improves circulation and oxygen delivery

  • Supports lymphatic drainage and detoxification

  • Reduces stiffness and muscle tension

  • Helps warm up the body before work

  • Aids cool‑down and recovery after exercise

  • Supports joint mobility and range of motion

  • Encourages balanced muscle engagement

  • Helps horses with chronic soreness or compensation patterns

Why I Use It

EquiVibe is especially effective when paired with other modalities like PEMF and laser therapy. It helps prepare the body for deeper work, improves the effectiveness of recovery sessions, and supports long‑term soundness by promoting healthy movement patterns.

It’s also a great option for horses who can’t tolerate more intense therapies or who need gentle, consistent support during rehab.
